Pay at room vs pay at checkout
Guests can settle a room-service order right away or add it to the room and pay at checkout. Which you offer is your choice; here is how each one flows.
01Pay at room
The guest pays in the portal at the moment they order — UPI or card through Razorpay — and the order reaches the kitchen already paid. This suits walk-in-style stays and properties without a tightly integrated folio.
02Pay at checkout
The charge is posted to the room folio instead of collected immediately, so the guest settles one bill at the end of the stay. With a connected PMS, the charge posts back to the folio there automatically — see “Connecting your PMS”.
03What the guest sees
Either way, the guest gets a clear line-item receipt in the portal with the items, any modifiers, taxes and the total. Nothing is charged silently, which is what keeps disputes at the desk to near zero.
